WASHINGTON ON YOUTUBE

Let's think back to when TV first started, and the height of entertainment was Your Show of Shows and Howdy Doody was a big star. Back then, TV couldn't hold a candle to movies. The movies were starting to break free of censorship restraints, and present some really challenging ideas. TV, meanwhile, was all Wagon Train and Leave it to Beaver. Now TV is breaking the old rules, delivering high quality, storyline driven shows like The Shield and Heroes. If, as the pundits say, TV is dead and internet providers like YouTube are the wave of the future, then what kind of programing can we expect on this nascent form of entertainment? The big difference is that the internet hasn't got the oppressive censorship that plagued movies and TV. That being said, we know internet entertainment will be cheap and short. This is not necessarily a bad thing.
