TITANS TOGETHER!!!

Leaving no good comic book property unturned, Warner Bros. has announced the big screen treatment of the classic superteam, Teen Titans.

The team was originally comprised of teen sidekick characters (Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash and Wonder Girl) when introduced in 1964, but didn't gain super success until the 80's when Marv Wolfman and George Perez reinvented the series. The New Teen Titans featured the characters as late teens and added Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and Changeling to the line-up. Also during their run, Dick Grayson (formerly Robin the Boy Wonder) took on the new identity of Nightwing.

The live-action adaptation is being produced by Akiva Goldsman and Kerry Foster through their Weed Road banner, while Mark Verheiden has been brought on board to write the script.

With Warner already prepping a direct to dvd animated film based on the Judas Contract storyline, let's hope that this adaptation captures the spirit of the Wolfman/Perez magic.
